El terror de las leyendas urbanas ahora tiene voz y pantalla
Relatos de la Noche llega a Disney+ con cuatro episodios=tfrequency:=0.9Markdown

En 2018, Uriel Reyes began publishing Relatos de la Noche, a podcast that became a reference for those who prefer to explore urban legends, family secrets and supernatural stories through audio. Now, the Mexican creator's project is taking a step toward audiovisual narration with four special episodes available through Disney+, the streaming service that offers this option.
The first installment, Brujas, is already available on the platform. Its plot takes place in an isolated area of the Valle del Mezquital and follows a young mother who begins to suspect that her mother-in-law is practicing dark rituals on the family property. The setting combines the silence of a rural region with unsettling details: footsteps on the roof, unexplained sounds during a drought, and lights near the baby's crib.
Although the story is fictional, it draws on the Mexican countryside, its traditions and the beliefs that have been transmitted through generations. The atmosphere of the episode is built around the contrast between daily family life and the fear of discovering that something unfamiliar has been taking place inside the house.
Four episodes for Halloween
The other three installments will be released gradually over the following weeks, ahead of Halloween and Day of the Dead. The programming is part of Huluween, Disney+'s themed season for October and November, and adds to it the kind of suspense that has traditionally accompanied those dates.
- Brujas, the first episode, is already available on Disney+.
- The remaining three episodes will be released gradually during the coming weeks.
- The specials combine Mexican folklore, supernatural beliefs and family stories.
- The project uses audiovisual narration together with immersive audio, a format that helped make the original podcast known.
The move also represents a new stage for a podcast that has built an audience across Latin America and the Spanish-speaking community. Until now, its identity was closely linked to the experience of listening: the headphones, the surrounding silence and the imagination of each listener. On a streaming platform, that same story gains images, voices and a more direct connection to the screen.
“The question now is whether the transition to video will preserve the tone that made the podcast popular.”Disney+
For longtime listeners, the change of format is an invitation to revisit familiar themes from another perspective. For those who do not know the podcast, it can serve as an entry point to a body of work that has spent years exploring what is hidden beneath everyday life. I found the premiere especially interesting because it does not abandon the audio experience, but places it within a narrative designed for a global platform.
